Red

(Dress: Sugarlips, Trench Coat: Nasty Gal, Button Up Shirt: American Apparel, Hat: Vintage, Sandals: Steve Madden)

Ok, ok, ok... I know, I've been away for a VERY long time. I've really hated not being able to post, but lately, it seems like my life has been completely consumed by college and finishing up the semester. So, anyway, my deepest apologies.

About the look... I'm wearing two new pieces that I'm absolutely crazy about. The first is this red dress from Sugarlips. I honestly love everything about this dress. With the bright color and the playful scalloped edges, it really is the perfect piece for spring and summer. The other new piece is this coat from Nasty Gal. Trench coats are so often seen that it's quite tricky to find one that really stands out. The faux leather sleeves on this one completely sold me. I really love these two pieces together. The subtle colors of the coat really allow the red of the dress to pop, and the leather sleeves of the trench give the dress some edge.

Sundown

(Leather Jacket: All Saints, T-Shirt: Forever 21, Skirt: J. Crew, Ankle Boots: Acne, All Jewelry: Antique)

So, if you've seen some of my last posts, you probably have noticed that lately I've been snatching some great pieces from my mom's closet. This outfit is no exception. Browsing through her clothes, I found this really great wool skirt from J. Crew, which I immediately gravitated toward because of the great zig-zag pattern and the rich color of turquoise blue. Plus, the fabric is so warm and dense that it's a perfect skirt to wear on chillier days without having to wear tights. I paired it with my favorite leather jacket, black ankle boots, a comfy grey t-shirt, and an array of some of my favorite pieces of jewelry.

Pop of Pink

(Jacket: Stolen from my mom's closet, Jumpsuit: Thrifted, Shirt: nowistyle, Sandals: Nine West, Glasses: Firmoo)

Hi, everyone! I hope you all are having a wonderful Friday.

Thank you to Firmoo, who was kind enough to send me this great pair of specs. I have terrible vision, so unless I wear my contacts, glasses are a must. I always try to find really stylish glasses to wear, and I feel these are no exception. Plus, despite being ridiculously affordable, the quality of these are as great or even better than other pairs I've had in the past. So, if you're in need of a new pair of stylish glasses for a really great price, be sure to check out Firmoo. I'm also wearing a new shirt from nowistyle that I paired under a black jumpsuit. I decided to throw in a pop of color with this awesome pink leather jacket that I snatched from my mom's closet and some pink sandals.

Jonas Brothers "Pom Poms" Music Video

I have some very exciting news to share! I had the wonderful opportunity of being a part of the Jonas Brothers' new music video for their new single, "Pom Poms." The experience was so amazing, and one which I will never forget. Also, it was really incredible seeing what all goes into making a music video. Check out the full video above along with the teaser clip.

Spotted

(Shawl: Charming Charlie, Shirt: nowistyle, Pants: Forever 21, Heels: Jeffrey Campbell, Clutch: Thrifted, Hat: Vintage - The Revival Outpost, NOLA, Watch: Michael Kors)

Hi, everyone! Sorry I've fallen off the face of the planet lately. I've been really, really busy, and there never seems to be enough hours in the day. As a result, blog posts seemed to have found their way onto the back burner. Hopefully, things (more specifically school) will ease a little, so there is more time to spend on the things I actually enjoy, one of those things being blogging.

Anyway... finally, a new outfit post! I really love my new shirt from nowistyle. It's the perfect piece with which to layer, and it's so comfortable, that I often find myself lounging around the house in it. Plus, its perfect shade of dusty blue is a great way to add in some subtle color to an otherwise pretty basic color scheme.

Feminine Yet Tough

(Dress: Sugarlips, Leather Jacket: All Saints, Shirt: H&M, Belt: Urban Outfitters, Boots: Mossimo - Target, Glasses: Warby Parker)

Good morning, everyone! I hope you are having a wonderful Thursday. I'm currently on my spring break, and though, the break is nice, I wouldn't consider this to be spring quite yet, given that the past few days we've had on and off snow flurries. The end of March and snow flurries, strange, no?

Anyway, about the outfit... I recently received this stunning dress in the mail from Sugarlips. I've realized when it comes to choosing garments, I'm really drawn to the color beige, so, of course, this beautiful piece is more than welcomed into my wardrobe. I really love the details of this dress. The two different textures on the front and back make it really interesting and special, and the unexpected pop of color on the hem gives it a really fun feel. I paired it with my go-to leather jacket to create a contrast between femininity and toughness, cinched the waist with a belt, threw on some black ankle boots, and voilà! Make sure to check out Sugarlips.com for a beautiful selection of clothing.

Cliff Dweller

(Leather Jacket: Gap, Skirt: nowistyle, Blouse: Proenza Schouler, Lace Button Up Shirt: Eyedoll, Ankle Boots: Mossimo - Target)

I love my new black skater skirt that nowistyle kindly sent my way. It's such a versatile piece that can easily be dressed up or down, and worn a million different ways. This time, I decided to pair it with my new Proenza Schouler blouse that I lucked up and stumbled upon while shopping at UAL in New Orleans a few weeks ago. To battle the chill of this lingering winter weather (Not that I'm complaining, I much prefer a brisk, winter breeze over Southern heat and humidity any day.), I layered with this wine-colored, leather jacket that I found while browsing through my mom's closet a couple of days ago. Sorry, Mom, I doubt you'll be getting this piece back anytime soon! Also, as you can see, I recently chopped some of my hair off. Looking at the pictures, it doesn't really look like as much of a difference as it does in person. My hair has been the same for quite some time now, and I felt it was time for a slight change of pace... And let's face it, I was long overdue for a nice trimming, anyway.
